The following shows what students are graded on in Band for the Fall 2008 Semester

Rehearsal Criteria (weekly grade)

• Student on time for rehearsal
• Instrument and appropriate materials
• Attentive and exhibiting good conduct
• Attendance to all rehearsal sessions
• Performing music at a proficient level

Performance Criteria  (grade for each performance)

• Student on time for performance warm-up
• Instrument and appropriate materials
• Attentive and contributing to a good performance
• Individual part performed at a high level of proficiency

Instructional Lessons, Sectionals OR Tests/Assignments (weekly grade)

• Attendance to all required lessons
• Practice goals were met (180 minutes per week)
• Lesson material performed at a high level of proficiency

Rehearsals:     33%

Performance:   34%

Instructional Lessons/Sectionals/Tests/Assignments:    33%
